Can Diflucan be taken with food?

Posted: 7 Dec 2010

Answered

I've been taking the flu for about a year now and I'm really concerned about the taste. The liquid that I consume is not my normal dose. It's like the flu, but more like a regular dose of the flu, not the flu that I've had before.

I'm not sure what I need to eat. Can I take it with food? Should I take it with a drink? Should I drink a glass of water?

No, I'd be more careful with food, but what I'm trying to say is: if you're going to drink a glass of water, it's more important to drink a glass of water with food. I know I'm a bit paranoid about this, but you're right about the "flu." That's an incredibly unpleasant thing. I was always worried about that stuff before and I know it's not what I was expecting.

I don't drink water at all. I drink a glass of water if I have any issues with the taste. I also drink a glass of water with food if it makes it uncomfortable for me.

In some cases, it may take several weeks or even months to see a full response to Diflucan. It's best to continue taking Diflucan for as long as your doctor prescribes it, even if your symptoms improve.
